Competition Format

  • Each season is played using the agreed Warhammer 40,000 Matched Play ruleset.
  • Players compete in a round-robin league, facing every other player once.
  • Fixtures are generated automatically by Warsmith.
  • The current season's points limit, mission pack and any additional house rules are listed in the Season Description.

League Points

  • Win: 3 League Points
  • Draw: 1 League Point
  • Loss: 0 League Points

League Position Tie-Breakers

If two or more players finish level on League Points, standings are decided in the following order:

  1. Victory Point Difference (Victory Points Scored − Victory Points Conceded)
  2. Total Victory Points Scored
  3. Head-to-Head Result

Tabling

A player being tabled does not immediately end the game.

Continue scoring the remaining battle rounds as though the surviving player completes the mission uncontested.

The tabled player cannot score any further Victory Points.

Concessions

A concession is treated exactly the same as a player being tabled.

  • The conceding player scores no further Victory Points.
  • The opposing player continues scoring until the end of the battle.
  • The final score counts towards League Points and Victory Point Difference.

This prevents concessions from artificially reducing an opponent's Victory Point Difference.

Army Selection

  • Each player selects one faction for the season.
  • Factions cannot be changed once a season has begun.
  • Army lists may be changed between games unless the league agrees to lock lists for the duration of the season.

Recording Matches

After each game, record:

  • Both players' final Victory Points.
  • The result (Win, Draw or Loss) is calculated automatically.
  • Standings and recent form update immediately after the result is saved.
